Plant Seeds. Grow Leaders. Restore Forests

With Natural Restorations

The Legacy Tree Project invites students to grow something that will outlast them and in doing so, discover the power they have to make the world a better place. Every year, 5th-6th grade students plant native tree seeds like mesquite and ironwood. The students then begin a journey of care, learning, and growth. The trees are nurtured in schools and classrooms for a full year before being passed to the incomming classes, creating a cycle of stewardship. After 16-18 months of care, each tree is donated to restoration projects and planted in the forest.

Through this hands-on program, kids learn about ecosystems, climate, conservation, and leadership. Students also learn that small actions, done together, can lead to something truly powerful.

Students are not just planting trees they're learning science, responsibility and how to collaborate with one another. Students build confidence, develop leadership, and leave a lasting mark on the world around them. The trees they are growing help restore damaged or burned areas and prevent erosion. These trees also provide habitat and support pollinators and wildlife in Arizona’s natural spaces. The project connects classrooms to real world action. Families, local organizations and schools work together to support a common cause, rehabilitating the places we all love.

Become A Sponsor

We’re proud to launch the Legacy Tree Project with our first partner school Circle Cross Ranch K–6 where students are stepping up in a big way to grow 500+ native trees this year!

Each tree costs $20.00 to grow, care for, donate and monitor the trees for 3 years. That means we're working to raise $10,000 to support Circle Cross Ranch’s full Legacy Tree experience.

Your sponsorship will help provide:

  • Seeds, soil, and pots for 500 trees

  • Educational materials for every student

  • Establish a school nursery with auto water to reduce waste and ensure survival even on school breaks. This nursery will continue to produce tress every year reducing next years cost.

  • A tree donation day in the Tonto Bush Fire burn scar on November 14 2026.

  • 3 years of impact monitoring with social content and recognition.

Natural Restorations is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring Arizona’s natural spaces through hands-on efforts like trash removal, graffiti cleanup, replanting native species, and providing meaningful work in nature to military veterans. Their impact is incredible—removing over 1.8 million pounds of trash, erasing 49,000+ square feet of graffiti, planting more than 114,000 native plants, and supporting veterans with nearly 24,000 hours of restoration work.

This project is made possible because of the work they do every single day. By healing wild spaces and giving back to our environment, Natural Restorations inspires others, like they have us, to step in and help.

We are truly grateful to support and be a small part of their ongoing mission. Together, we’re making Arizona’s outdoors more beautiful and resilient while involving future generations.
